For applicants under the Kolkata and Chennai jurisdictions, three years of Income Tax Return documentation is required.

Visa Application Form : A completely filled and signed Visa Application Form

Hotel booking : Hotel booking confirmation for the entire stay in Japan

Original Passport :
Original current valid passport
Should have at least two blank pages
Old Passport (if any)

6 Month Bank statement :
Provide your personal bank statements from the last six months, or the last three months if applicable.
Recommended minimum bank balance of INR 1,50,000/- per traveller

Passport size photograph :
Should be 45mm x 45mm or 2 inches x 2 inches in size, color photograph with white background and printed on a good quality paper.
In case you are applying from Bangalore location, your photo size should be 35mm x 45mm.
Photographs should be taken within the last 6 months
